He comes from the province of Belluno, lived in Venice, and then moved to Bologna, where he now lives and runs a production company that deals with both cinema and TV: Imago Orbis.
He graduated from DAMS (art, music, and spectacle) at the University of Bologna, with a degree in art history; he has always worked in the audio-visual field as an operator, director of photography, and director.
After a DEA in visual anthropology at the EHESS of Paris, several shorts, research, and anthropological documentaries on Africa (Forme del ricordo and La medicina degli antenati), he now works as a free lance reporter and operator for Format, TGR Mediterraneo, Videomusic, and RAI 1.
In 1996, he and his friends created the Imago Orbis production company.
His productions vary between industrial documentaries to reportages, to cultural documentaries (ethnology, art, society), to “no-limits”. From 1998 to today, he has produced and co-produced some shorts and full-length films for the big screen.
In the following years, together with his authorial and entrepreneur job inside his production company, he’s been writing two books about African handcraft and about the head-rest in the ancient and tribal cultures.
