Manzolini Niccolò

Niccolò Manzolini was born in Milan in 1979, in 1998 he moved to Bologna. In 2000 he realised Sonic Death My Nigger Soul, a video-presentation for the exhibition of Bartolomeo Migliore in Milan. Since 2002 he has been collaborating with the Cineteca of Bologna, for which he makes documentaries (such as Quando Bologna aveva un porto, Fotografi d’ardimento e Due o tre cose che so di Renzi) and workshops about cinematographic langue. In 2003 he published his first short-documentary named Cigarini. In 2004 he participated to the production of the documentary Gaddipulina, a year of Gallipoli. In the same year he was one of the authors of Osolemio- Autoritratto Italiano presented at the 61ª edition of Venice International Film Festival in the out of competition section. Since 2005 he has also been working in Marsiglia, as an author and editor at the Polygone Etoilé. Between 2005 and 2006 he realised Bar Mundo a coral documentary about detention. Alla mia cara is the first short movie completely written and directed by Niccolò Manzolini, and produced by Seiperduenonfadodici Production.
