Daria Menozzi was born in Modena in 1958. In 1986 in Modena she founded VBR a video-production Company.
In 1991 together with Gabriella Morandi she wrote and directed her first feature film, Flies in the head 35 mm, b/w, 90'. From 1995 to 1999 she was involved with the conception and making of Intermedia a TV series produced by COSPE. She realized projects in China, India, the Cape Verde Islands, Nicaragua, Macedonia, Albania
In 1997 she made Wasted Feelings 17” colour filmed in Tiananmen Square Beijing presented at the international festival Invideo in Milan and at the exhibition The Art Tribes by Achille Bonito Oliva MACRO Rome 2001
In 1998 she made The Upside down Ideogram digital video colour 45’ a video portrait of Beijing produced by Monogatari and TSI
In 1999 she made Germano Almeida Writer, digital video colour 25’ a portrait of a writer from the Cape Verde Islands
In 2000 she made Bike Baba, digital video colour 54’An on the road portrait of an Indian Monk. Produced by BiancaFilm, Tele +
In 2002 she made for Sacher Film The Sacher Diaries. The Story of the National Archives Water in between digital video colour 27’
In 2004 she made Radio Clandestina by and with Ascanio Celestini, digital video 82’ produced by Fabbrica and RAI 2
In 2005 she made Manooré a documentary about work and globalisation and the stories of three female unionists Awa Rita and Catherine, from Senegal Brasil Malaysia. Produced by Fandango it won the Cipputi Award Torino Film Festival.
