Franco and the Woodcrafting

Synopsis

The original footage of this film - a craftsman from the Elvo valley (Biellese) who performs a fruit bowl on the lathe - dates back to April 11, 2007.

The material hibernated for eight years, until the moment I listened to "Warm glow" by Luca Sigurtà. It was as if the songs on the record constituted a sound interpretation of the sequences of the film - without Sigurtà ever having seen a single frame.

I regarded this arcane synchrony as the quintessential nature of artistic creation – which in this case paired (or trioed) with turner's creation. As well as a confirmation of the perceptual liaison between me and Sigurtà.

Many things transcend us while animating us.
