The man with the olive tree

Synopsis

It is the story of the journey of a man who started from a village in Emilia and his long journey through the Himalayan mountains, in the company of two friends and a small olive seedling. Following the motto "Love is an olive tree" the cheerful company faces the special mission of bringing an olive tree in the presence of the largest mountain in the world as a sign of peace. This is a challenge because never before has an olive tree been brought to those areas and it is not known whether it will survive at those altitudes and climatic conditions.

The olive tree, a symbol of peace, is transported with care and devotion by the three friends, on a climb studded with precious encounters with the inhabitants of the mountains and other travel companions. The protagonist is surprised by how a small and simple plant manages to overcome every cultural and linguistic barrier, attracting the attention and benevolence of men and restoring a sense of serenity and brotherhood.
