Synopsis

The documentary evokes the "small mental hospital" of the Department 14 of the former Psychiatric Hospital of the Observance of Imola intended for agitated women and tells, through the direct testimony of Dr. Giorgio Antonucci, doctor and psychoanalyst main point of reference of anti-psychiatry in Italy, the work he carried out to dismantle the ward by abolishing coercive and dehumanizing psychiatric practices and listening to its Patients.

With a strong radical and revolutionary spirit, Antonucci dedicated his life to people with mental disorders, helping them to regain dignity and freedom taken from them by force.

The images of ward 14 and the former asylum show empty spaces where you can still feel the atrocity of pain and the desire to leave.
