The statute

Art. 1 NAME
The Emilia-Romagna Documentary Filmmakers Association is established in compliance with the Civil Code and Law 383/2000. The Association itself can also be correctly identified with the term "Documentaristi Emilia-Romagna", or with the initials "D.E-R".

Art. 2 REGISTERED OFFICE
The Association has its registered office in Bologna, Via Jacopo della Quercia 6 / a, is non-profit, its duration is unlimited. The transfer of the registered office, on the municipal territory, does not entail a statutory change.

Art. 3 AIMS OF THE ASSOCIATION
The Emilia-Romagna Documentary Association recognizes itself in the values of peace, justice, democratic participation, multiculturalism, respect for the environment, pluralism and access to information.

The Association operates with the aim of:
Promote the culture of documentary as a means of expression and as a tool for interpretation, observation and criticism of reality.

Promote and support Emilia-Romagna productions, authors and documentary projects at regional, national and international level.

Enhance the territory of the Emilia-Romagna Region and its history and culture.

Disseminate the audiovisual language, the culture of the image and the methods of social inquiry in every area.

To this end, the association shall:
It promotes the establishment of networks and synergies between documentary filmmakers, associations, operators in the sector and institutions.

It develops strategies and promotion actions, without territorial limits.

It carries out monitoring activities on the media, with particular attention to the presence of the documentary genre in television channels and film circuits.

It works so that documentary productions and Emilia-Romagna authors acquire greater visibility in existing distribution channels.

It encourages the creation of new distribution circuits and new television and film spaces dedicated to documentary.

It works to encourage the creation of a regional audiovisual fund with specific and adequate appropriations for the development, production and distribution of documentaries.

He carries out consultancy activities for institutions in order to promote greater sensitivity and attention towards the documentary genre.

It proposes, promotes and participates in the organization of public events (exhibitions, debates, forums) on the topics within its competence.

It carries out cataloguing and research activities on regional documentary productions.

It organizes workshops, training courses for cultural operators, refresher courses and training for teachers and students in public and private schools of all levels.

All activities that do not comply with the social purposes are expressly prohibited.

The activities of the association and its aims are inspired by principles of equal opportunities between men and women and respectful of the inviolable rights of the person.

Art. 4 MEMBERS
All men and women who accept the articles of the Statute and the internal regulations, who share the aims of the association and undertake to dedicate a part of their time to their achievement are admitted to the Association.

The competent body to deliberate on the applications for admission of aspiring members is the Steering Committee.

Admission to the Association is decided by the Steering Committee upon written request of the applicant in which he must specify his complete personal details. According to the provisions of law 675/97 all personal data collected will be subject to confidentiality and used for the sole purposes of the Association with the prior written consent of the member. Reasons must be given for the refusal.

Upon admission, the member undertakes to pay the annual self-financing fee to the extent set by the Steering Committee and approved in the budget by the Ordinary Assembly, in compliance with the Statute and the regulations issued.

The figure of the temporary member is not allowed. The membership fee is non-transferable.

There are two categories of members:

– Founding members: those who intervened in the constitution of the association, have the right to vote, are eligible for corporate offices, their quality of members is perpetual, is not subject to annual registration, but only to the payment of the membership fee.

– Effective members: those who have requested and obtained the status of member of the Steering Committee. They have the right to vote and are eligible for corporate office. Their status as effective members is subject to registration and payment of the membership fee.

The number of full members is unlimited.

Members are required to pay the membership fee within 10 days of registration in the membership register.

The amount of the annual fee is established by the shareholders' meeting when approving the financial statements.

The activities carried out by the members in favor of the association and for the achievement of social goals are carried out mainly on a voluntary basis and totally free of charge. The association may, in case of particular need, hire employees or make use of self-employment services, also by resorting to its members.

Art. 5 MEMBERS' RIGHTS
The members of the association have the right to elect the corporate bodies and to be elected in them. All members have the rights of information and control established by law and by this Statute: the voluntary member cannot in any way be remunerated, but will only be entitled to reimbursement of expenses actually incurred for the activity provided. The association mainly makes use of activities provided voluntarily and free of charge by its members. All members have the right of access to the documents, resolutions, budgets, statements and registers of the association. All adult members have the right to vote.

Art. 6 DUTIES OF MEMBERS
The members will carry out their activities in the association in a personal, voluntary and free non-profit way, due to the needs and personal availability declared.

The behavior of the member towards the other members and outside the association must be animated by a spirit of solidarity and implemented with correctness, good faith, honesty, probity and moral rigor, in compliance with this Statute and the programmatic guidelines issued.

Art. 7 WITHDRAWAL/EXCLUSION OF THE MEMBER
The member may withdraw from the association by written communication to be sent to the coordinator of the Steering Committee. The withdrawal takes effect from the closing date of the financial year during which it was exercised.

The member may be excluded from the association for serious reasons that have caused moral and / or material damage to the association itself and / or its members.

The exclusion of the member is decided by the Steering Committee. It must be communicated by letter to the same, together with the reasons that gave rise to the exclusion and ratified by the shareholders' meeting at the first useful meeting.

Withdrawn and / or excluded members who have ceased to belong to the association, can not request the return of the contributions paid, nor do they have any right to the assets of the association.

Art. 8 CORPORATE BODIES
The organs of the association are:

– The shareholders' meeting;

– The Board of Directors;

–The President

– The Vice-President

– The treasurer

All corporate offices are assumed and fulfilled totally free of charge.

Art. 9 THE SHAREHOLDERS' MEETING
The assembly is the sovereign body of the association. The shareholders' meeting is made up of the founding and effective members, is convened at least once a year by the president of the association or by those who take his place, through:

· Written notice to be sent by simple letter or email to members, at least 10 days before the date set for the meeting;

· Notice posted on the premises of the Headquarters at least 20 days before.
