Synopsis
The documentary investigates the "Affaire Xylella" CoDiRO (Olive Quick Decline Syndrome), in Salento, with interviews from farmers to scientists, putting in the foreground the unquestionable right to resistance to European, national and regional government decisions , devoid of multiple scientific bases .
Important speeches by personalities from the legal and agricultural world from the conference "The defense of Mother Earth" in 2017 at the University of Lecce, including the Vice President emeritus of the Italian Constitutional Court Paolo Maddalena.
Director's Notes
The author, intrigued by the problems of the olive trees of Salento, after three years of filming on site, is contacted by the Bianca Guidetti Serra Association which offers him to make a documentary on these problems, but above all in solidarity with the defendants by the Brindisi Public Prosecutor's Office for the blockade of the railway station of S.PietroVernotico.
The same author is investigated despite having carried out only documentary work .
The Bianca Guidetti Serra Association has promoted the collection of signatures in solidarity with the suspects and has reached and far exceeded 5,000 signatures.
